Update about the casa!

12 Aug

Well, we had our inspection last week.  Along with the home inspection, we had a bug inspection and the alarm inspection.  The bug man said that there wasn't even a flea in our yard.  No evidence of termites ever being there or that they are even remotely interested in the house too!  The alarm inspection went well too, yip alarm is hooked up and ready and if we use blank company then they will come back for free and install the upgrade all for nuttin'!  Just a monthly fee for monitoring.  Then came the semi-crappy news.  The only negative thing on the house inspection is a biggie.  The garage foundation was slipping a little.  They think it may be really a bad concrete job, but the crack is bigger than is "good".  So, we changed the contract and sent it back in to the seller.  Well, seller said he'll do what it takes to fix it but he wants some estimates first before a re-signed contract.  Tomorrow there is one company going out to see what it'll take then on Thursday we've got another going out there.  Luckily our awesome realtor, Les Kegley, is going out there to be with them and he'll give us an update.

I think the sellers really want this house sold.  It was on the market since May-ish and the family is in Nebraska or somewhere.  The dad is fixin' to be deployed to Afghanistan, so I really think they want this done.  But because this little kink I'm seeing our closing of Aug. 29th slide by, which really sucks. That all means more rent paid and more gas to take Kenna to her new school for over a week.  Oh well.  Also just to make sure Les, remember he's the realtor, is giving us some more houses to look at.  But call me crazy, I don't want to see them…I already know which house is ours! LOL

To commemorate our house, a new scrapbook page for you!
